Whether you heard the message from Sunday or are part of one of our “What’s Next” groups at Venture, here’s a way for you to go deeper.
this week's next steps
This week's study
Every believer is invited into a life that is not only transformed by Jesus but is also lived outwardly for His purposes. The heart of mission is not limited to distant countries or formal ministry roles—it begins right where we are, in our homes, schools, workplaces, and communities. Romans 10 reminds us that salvation is available to everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. Yet, Paul urgently asks: how will they call unless someone tells them? This is not just a call to pastors or missionaries; it is a call to all of us who know Jesus.
Mission begins by loving people—an perspective that sees people not merely in their present circumstances but in their need for Christ. Jesus Himself wept over the lostness of Jerusalem, and we are invited to carry that same burden. Ecclesiastes says eternity is planted in the human heart; we are made for a relationship with God, and those around us are searching—even if they don’t realize it yet. The gospel is not meant to be private — it’s meant to be a living testimony. To live a life of mission means being intentional, Spirit-filled, and bold in sharing both our lives and our faith, so others can know the hope we’ve found in Jesus.

Questions to Consider:
- When you think about your personal mission, who comes to mind in your everyday life that might need to hear about Jesus?
- How does having an eternal perspective influence the way you see your relationships and responsibilities?
- What does it look like to be “salt” in your sphere of influence? How can you bring flavor and preservation into the spaces you occupy?
- What fears or hesitations do you face when sharing your faith, and how can Scripture help you overcome them?
- Reflect on the idea that “your life should align with your words.” In what areas do you feel your life is a strong testimony? In what areas is God calling you to grow?
